Today we travel south west through the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park to St Davids, the smallest city in the UK – a delightful mix of attractive buildings and the famous Whitesands Bay with its fabulous beach.
Enjoy a guided tour of the tiny but very important Cathedral which is dedicated to St David, the patron saint of Wales, and has been a site of pilgrimage and worship for over 800 years. There will be some free time afterwards to explore St Davids itself with its majestic Bishop’s Palace and intriguing independent shops.
We then continue along St Davids Peninsula Heritage Coast and inland through Haverfordwest to unique Picton Castle, Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home. Explore it’s magnificent woodlands, colourful walled gardens and exotic plants as well as the Secret Owl Garden with the largest collection of owls in Wales.
