This morning we visit the lovely Finca de la Saleta which boasts one of the largest private gardens in Spain. Designed by Brenda Colvin, an important British landscape architect, it hosts one of the most diverse botanical collections in north west Spain set out in a typically English, picturesque style and is one of the most beautiful and secret corners of Galicia. Here you can enjoy the many varieties of camellias with white, pink, red, purple multi coloured petals that fill the garden with colour right to the beginning of spring.
Then it’s off to the pretty, ria-side medieval town of Cambados. Time for some lunch here, maybe in one of the inviting taverns that line the historic streets and beautiful squares.
Then it’s off for a visit to the wine cellars at the Pazo de Fefiñáns, another magnificent building that houses the oldest winery in the locality.
