Some of the city’s main attractions include the Imperial Palace, one of the most important cultural buildings in Austria. With its magnificent State Rooms and Imperial Apartments it dates back to the 16th C and tells much of the history of the Hapsburg Dynasty.
There is also the futuristic Hungerberg Funicular Railway that starts right from the heart of Innsbruck’s old town to the Hungerberg mountain for great views over the city.
