Travel with us to the Czech Republic right at the heart of Eastern Europe with its wonderful countryside, medieval towns and of course the ‘Golden City’ of Prague, associated with artists from all over the world. There are so many sights and attractions to provide you with a memorable coach holiday. It’s over 25 years since Prague was designated a World Heritage Site with its magnificent buildings, the picturesque Charles Bridge and the impressive castle, all there for you to enjoy.
We also stay in beautiful Dresden, the capital of Saxony lovingly re-constructed after WWII on the banks of the River Elbe. Today the city is one of Germany’s cultural highlights, bordered southwards by the National Park of Saxon Switzerland, said to be one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe.

Prague, Dresden & Saxon Switzerland Coach Holiday Highlights and Itinerary
WEDNESDAY Bruges, Belgium
Morning departure for Dover and an early afternoon ferry to Calais.
Heading northwards we then pass by the town of Dunkirk, to cross into Belgium and our hotel in the lovely city of Bruges for evening meal and overnight.
THURSDAY Bruges to Frankfurt
You have a couple of hours this morning to spend at leisure in this lovely city. You may just like to wander amongst the enticing choolate or lacemaking shops, take a horse and carriage ride through the winding streets, sail along it’s intriguing canals, visit the Basilica of the Holy Blood, climb the amazing Belfry or simply meander through the peaceful Beguinage – the choice is yours.
Late morning we leave for Germany, travelling around the cities of Koln and on to Frankfurt where we have dinner and overnight.

FRIDAY Czech Republic
Continue through Germany then later cross the border into the Czech Republic, passing by the city of Pilsen in western Bohemia. Famed mainly for its world-known beer it’s gorgeous historic market square and medieval flair makes it something of an untouched gem in this country of lovely towns, marvellous castles and well preserved buildings.
We make our way towards Prague, arriving in our hotel in time for dinner.
SATURDAY City of Prague
A day to enjoy this lovely city. Your coach will take you into the centre of the city where our local guide will show you many of the famous attractions such as the magnificent Prague Castle, the largest castle in the world that nowadays houses the Czech Crown Jewels.
You will also see the Old Town Square, just a short step away from the renowned World Heritage Site of Wenceslas Square. It got it’s name after Saint Wenceslas who was a saint of Bohemia and attracts millions of tourists every year.
And you cannot come to Prague without walking across the picturesque Charles Bridge that has been a source of inspiration for countless artists over the years. After the tour you will have free time in the city to explore on your own, returning to our hotel for dinner.
SUNDAY Unesco city of Kutna Hora
Today we visit the picturesque medieval town of Kutna Hora, part of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage. During the 14th and 15th C, a time when it rivalled Prague in importance, silver was mined here and was the source of many of the beauty and riches of the town.
You will see interesting and impressive sights such as the unique Gothic Cathedral of St Barbara (who was the patron saint of miners) as well as the eerie ‘Bone Church’ at Kostnice

MONDAY Saxon Switzerland National Park
This morning we must say goodbye to Prague as we make our way to the Saxon Switzerland National Park. As we arrive in Koenigstein we join the river boat to sail to Pirna. Enjoy the breathtaking views up to the famous Bastei Bridge and Bastai Rock formations, the highlight of the National Park.
The romantic town of Pirna is set in the picturesque landscape of the Elbe Valley and stands as the gateway to Saxon Switzerland. You can wander through the winding streets of the historical old town with its town houses, charming courtyards and numerous fountains. From Pirna we continue to Dresden and our hotel on the banks of the River Elbe to enjoy dinner and a two night stay.

TUESDAY City of Dresden
A full day free to explore this lovely city. Our hotel is centrally located and many of the city’s main sights are easily located across the Augustus Bridge. You might like to visit the Zwinger with it’s grand building, gardens and galleries, or the sympathetically re-constructed and amazing beautiful Frauenkirche. Or there’s the lavish Opera House or the restored Royal Palace and Museum in Dresden Castle.

WEDNESDAY Aachen, Germany
After breakfast we make our way eastwards through Germany, past the towns of Gotha and Koln to arrive in Aachen for dinner and overnight stay.

THURSDAY Homeward Bound
Cross the border into Belgium then we make our way to the French coast for a tea-time sailing to Dover, returning home mid evening
